Update on my previous post.
Same statement: Lubuntu 13.04 works out of the box. Download, create USB key (Unetbootin) and boot!
Tips:
- Chromium ships without flash support
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer
No need to even restart Chromium! - No Bluetooth.
sudo apt-get install bluetooth

- using USB speakers (or a USB Bluetooth dongle to broadcast to a Boombox) doesn’t work as the ALSA tool provided (alsamixer) seems unable to switch sound cards. Currently exploring
