Linuxant.com makes linux ‘hsf’ drivers for dialup modems which use Conexant chipsets. I’m using the Linuxant hsf driver on this machine right now. There is one « catch » with Linuxant drivers, you have to purchase a license key to get the modem to operate at its full 56K capability otherwise its limited to around 14K. The license key is $14.95 U.S. [x]

However due to the large number of modem and computer system manufacturers using Conexant chipsets in custom products, there are no guarantees that generic drivers will provide the same functionality as the original driver software or even work with your modem (please see the license/legal disclaimer).
