LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalog their books easily. A free account allows you to catalog up to 200 books. A paid account ($10 for a year or $25 for a lifetime) allows you to catalog any number of books. You can arrange your books on a virtual shelf or as a list.
Abebooks.com (the Canadian company that matches booksellers with booklovers) has taken a 40% share of the company yesterday. Designed and implemented by Tim Spalding, a web developer and web publisher based in Portland, Maine (who read Engel’s Alexander the Great and the Logistics of the Macedonian Army). Displays a nice « made w/ Lapsang Souchong » banner. Shows some good ideas, i.e. psst & why.
