YAWMPPP

YAWMPPP is a Window Maker dock applet (works with other window managers too) that works as a frontend for pppd, making ISP hookup easier. You get in the Internet with one click, get out with another. (via)

OpenOpenOffice

OpenOpenOffice, (short: O3), a plugin to teach Microsoft Office handling with OpenDocument (…) based on the MS-Office filters of OpenOffice.org. It is not yet clear when the plugin will be finished and under what conditions (licence etc.). The first versions of the Perl server components should be available in a couple of weeks. With a working server, [their] hope is that means a usable plugin in less than a month. (via)

MINIX 3

The MINIX 3 Operating System is a new open-source operating system designed to be highly reliable, flexible, and secure. To run MINIX 3, you need a PC driven by a 386, 486, or Pentium CPU or compatible. The standard configuration requires 16 MB of RAM. An 8-MB version is also available, but it is slower due to a smaller buffer cache. Since the distribution comes on a live CD, you can test it without allocating any hard disk space, but for a hard disk installation, 50 MB is needed as a minimum, 600 MB minimum if you want all the sources. The current version of MINIX 3 (3.3.1) is a work in progress. It is nowhere near as mature as FreeBSD or Linux right now (via)
